Firstly the P wave with is a compressional wave, just like a sound wave.....

The S wave is a traverse wave, ( a shear wave) that is, the particle motion is perpendicular to the direction of travel of the wave

The Love Wave

The Rayleigh Wave is similar in motion to the S Wave

The Love and Rayleigh waves form the surface waves. These travel primarily along the surface of the earth. Unlike the P and S waves that travel deep through the Earth.

Just a start more info to come
